Andiamo's, St. Clair Shores, MI... 6/22/06
Jody opened the lakeside show solo this week playing classic originals like Big Town, Simple Life, Don't Let Go and Smile. The Thursday night crowd really seemed to enjoy the intimate setting, Jody's acoustic guitar and soulful voice the perfect backdrop for the boats chasing the setting sun into the marina. After taking a break to say hello to everyone, Jody opened set two with newer originals including My My, Light of Day and Days Gone By. When Wes arrived, the boys treated everyone to the newer tune Learn From Me and then lucky Andiamo guests got to hear the live debut of a brand new song Jody titled Home which is AMAZING. Come back next week for some more treats!

Post Bar Woodward , Ferndale, MI...6/21/06
It was the first day of summer, so of course the rain poured down. But the lightning show didn't stop fans from coming out to the Post to catch up with Wes and Jody after their adventures on tour with Collective Soul. You could feel the electricity inside the bar too! Many of the folks who are going to New York for the big Bon Jovi/Nicelback show were there making plans now that they have their tickets in hand. Jody, Wes and Bryan could barely handle the requests coming in. The most requested originals were Simple Life, Don't Let Go, Light of Day and Smile along with the new tunes Everybody Pull Together, Days Gone By and My My. Again, we heard the beginnings of a new song. No title yet, but Jody has big plans for it. Stay tuned to the website for more! Or better yet, come to Andiamo on the lakeshore this evening. Live shows are the best way to be part of the excitement.
Hatchy's Sports Bar and Grill, Utica, MI...6/20/06
It was one of those nights where the band just seemed to be having a little extra fun. And the mood was contagious. Jody and the boys treated the crowd at Hatchy's to a string of originals that filled an entire set. Light of Day was requested by (and dedicated to) Debbie and then came Like a Star. After that, a little jamming from the band as they played a new melody for each other, maybe trying on a new song for size? It is band rehearsal night after all. Back to business, they boys played It's Only Love, Ten Times, Take Me Under, She Says, Insignificant Other, Simple Life, Don't Let Go and Love is the Answer. It was an energized set! The evening wrapped up with the new original Everybody Pull Together and then an electrifying version of Bob Marley's Get Up, Stand Up featuring Jody on lead electric guitar. Words can't describe what it's like when Jody grabs the electric and goes off-roading through a favorite song. That's one of those things you just have to come out and experience for yourself. Next chance to do that is the Ferndale Post this evening!

Hatchy's Sports Bar and Grill, Utica, MI...6/13/06
The boys returned to Hatchy's last night after their very successful tour with Collective Soul. The crowd was out in force to welcome them and as usual, Charlie, Greasy, Shakey and Jody opened with several energized songs. The crowd was calling for originals so the band played Simple Life and Smile in the first set. Greg Dilone brought his bag of percussion tricks for the second set and the boys jammed through Ten Times, It's Only Love, Like a Star, She Says, Insignificant Other, Take Me Under, Don't Let Go, Everybody Pull Together, Light of Day and Love is the Answer. Whew! What a great set! Set three was rockin' with several Who covers that would impress--well--The Who. The evening wrapped up in the wee hours with an Amy Fowlkes/Jody Raffoul duet of Eric Clapton and Marcy Levy's "The Core." Jody was playing the electric guitar quite a bit last night and his lead guitar solo on the Core had fans literally screaming for more. If you missed the homecoming, hit the Ferndale Post tonight to welcome the band back to town!

Benefit Concert for the Families of Windsor Police Constables John Atkinson & Troy Klyn, Windsor, ON... 6/11/06
Jody and the band couldn't wait to help this important cause for the families of two Ontario policemen. They donated their time to headline a special benefit concert sponsored by the Drive magazine and hosted by Precision Car Care in Windsor with all proceeds going to the families who so recently lost their loved ones. Fans brought the whole family to come out and see the show and support the officers families. Jody warmed up by tossing a football with some of the kids (and grown ups too). Even the weather co-operated as Windsor native Pat Robitaille opened the outdoor concert, accompanied by Kelly "Mr. Chill" Hoppe. Pat played several songs from his newest Cd and Mr. Chill treated everyone to the unique sounds of his melodica. Jody, Wes, Charlie and Shakey then took the stage, introduced by CHYR programming manager Corey Robertson and watched eagerly by representatives from several local radio stations. Fans cheered as they rolled through original favorites like Light of Day, Simple Life, Smile and new songs such as Everybody Pull Together and Everything Can Wait. The sun was shining, the kiddies were dancing, and everyone was doing what they could to help the cause. Both officers' wives joined Jody on stage to thank the Windsor Police Department, the bands, Crash the sound expert, the volunteers and all the people who came out to show their support. No word yet on donations raised, but it was a very good day to be a Jody fan.

Hatchy's Sports Bar and Grill, Utica, MI...5/30/06
The weather was warm, but the music was hotter at Hatchy's last night. Jody and the band were in the groove and looking forward to their upcoming dates with Collective Soul. Set one featured originals Simple Life, Don't Let Go and Smile. Set two opened with AJ's song Everything Can Wait featuring Amy Fowlkes on vocals. Next, the boys played new tunes Everybody Pull Together and Love is the Answer, followed by Take Me Under, Insignificant Other, She Says, Ten Times, Light of Day and Like a Star--all off the current Like a Star CD. The last set was a rare treat with Jody on the electric guitar. The band opened with Neil Young's Tin Soldier and JR's guitar solo was simply amazing. Next was the Beatles' Don't Let Me Down featuring guitar solo by Wes Buckley and Charlie Lambrick on both guitar and keyboards. Jody decided the band should play an Animals song. So they jammed through We Gotta Get Out of This Place and then on to Clapton tunes Why Does Love Have to be So Sad and The Core. Both songs featured Jody on the electric guitar and Mrs. Fowlkes on vocals. And, as always, Greasy, Shakey (and special guest Greg Dilone) supplied the powerful rhythm that keeps the whole thing together. The night wrapped with Bob Marley's Get Up Stand Up, a big thanks to the Hatchy's crowd, and a promise to be back in two weeks!
